Know
before you Buy
Are you Buying River Road Creations' cutters
or imitations?
We have received telephone and e-mail inquiries from you, asking if the
cutter purchased at a local fly shop or on line was really a cutter
manufactured by River Road Creations. While imitation is said to
be the sincerest form of flattery, in this case, some consumers and fly
shop owners are confused. We believe in the importance of
competition in the marketplace; we don't advocate advertising that may
confuse consumers. Therefore, we would like to help you know what you
are buying, in advance of your purchase.
River Road
Creations, Inc. has not manufactured wing and foam body cutters for sale
to the Montana Fly Company since 2007. Prior to this time, we did
sell our cutters to them. Montana Fly Company cutters have
not been made in the USA by River Road Creations.
If your local fly shop has purchased cutters directly from us, or from
our US distributor, Hareline Dubbin, then you may be confident that the
cutters you purchase have been manufactured by River Road Creations.
We regret any confusion and as always, we encourage you to contact us
with any questions or concerns.
A few comments
about our
River Road Creations' cutters:
* 100% of all cutters are quality tested before leaving
our shop - they will cut foam and many wing sheet materials
or they go in the trash!
* 100% of the blades in River Road Creation's cutters
are shaped by Tony Tomsu, so you know they are correct

The wood used in River Road Creations' cutters is vertical grain fir,
purchased from US lumber yards with colors ranging from honey-blonde to
light reddish-brown.

Before releasing any new patterns, River Road Creations
ensures
extensive testing throughout the US t o verify that our patterns
demonstrate consistent properties to allow you to catch fish. Not
only do our cutters allow you to tie flies that consistently look great
and save tying time, they are proven to catch fish!
