YOU ARE INVITED TO
A Virtual Spaghetti Dinner
Fund Raiser for Patty

Great Things We Know About Patty

Because they have been self-employed all these years, Patty has no medical insurance.  So in addition to having worries about how Patty will fare through her treatments, Patty and her husband, Bill, (Tony’s brother) also have to worry about paying all the bills.  One recent diagnostic test alone cost more than $5000 – and that doesn’t include the fee from the doctor who interpreted the test!  She had an emergency room visit plus surgery and 3 days in the Intensive Care Unit and almost a week of hospitalization.  Her medical bills are piling up quickly.

If all of Patty’s friends and family lived in the same place, we would have a real spaghetti dinner to help them out with medical bills.  But they are in Texas and family and friends are spread out across Montana, California, Washington, Utah, and more.

Patty and Bill have always been the first people to organize wonderful Bar B-Qs to help out someone in need in their community, which got us to thinking...

Since we use the internet and e-mail for so many other things,

Why not use e-mail and the internet
to help Patty and Bill
?

for Patty

last updated:

Our sister-in-law, Patty Tomsu has had surgery for a treatable form of pancreatic cancer.
We thank you for your prayers
and ask that you keep Patty and her family
on your prayer lists.

 A September update:

Patty is home and recuperating. All the test results after surgery show her to have no cancer in her lymph nodes, and nice clear margins of healthy, normal tissue on the edges of the tumors that were removed.   Patty has none of the complications you would expect after losing more than 2/3 of her pancreas.

We know that your prayers and good thoughts have helped make a little miracle possible.

Praise the Lord for prayers
and friends
and strangers
and Patty's improvement.

May God bless all of you who have prayed, or made donation, or both!  Thank you.  Keep those prayers up, we know they are working!

We are still working slowly on our
$5,000 fund-raising goal.  We are just a little over half way there.

So the purpose of this message is to invite you to join in a virtual spaghetti dinner fund raiser for Patty.  No dinner will actually be provided, so there won’t be any gastronomic satisfaction, but as a donor you will have the satisfaction of helping someone who has always been the first to help others.  No amount is too large or small.  And if you aren’t able to help out financially, Patty really appreciates your prayers, so thank you, and please keep praying for a healthy outcome as soon as possible.

Daniel raised over $300 in his first deposit for his Pennies for Patty campaign.

Way to go Daniel.  Thank you!

October Update:
The medical bills continue to come in, but Patty is doing GREAT!  She is our Texas miracle.  She has returned to work a few hours a week - she had opened her own alteration & baked goods shop just a few months before her cancer was discovered.

Thank you so much for your prayers.  Patty continues to recuperate and appreciates all your support.  Thank you!

Always be joyful, Pray continually, and give thanks whatever happens.  That is what God wants for you in Christ Jesus

Thank you for your generosity
Your virtual hosts: Tony & Kathi Tomsu

Patty says that she can feel all the love coming from everyone's prayers - and we can tell that they are certainly working.

Sept. 6th - Patty is recuperating slowly at home and will have more tests on to follow the progression - but with only 1/3 of her pancreas left, she has no problems with diabetes or calcium or any other imbalances that you would expect.  Your prayers are working.  Thank God for the power of prayer!

THANK YOU FOR YOUR PRAYERS AND GIFTS!
